Everything You're Wondering
A "rare sugar" that occurs naturally in figs, raisins and maple syrup. It pours and bakes like table sugar, but your body doesn't metabolize it for energy, so FDA guidance has it counted at 0.4 calories per gram rather than the 4 used for sugar, and excluded from the Total Sugars and Added Sugars lines on the Nutrition Facts label.
No. That cooling effect comes from erythritol and other sugar alcohols, which THRAVE doesn't contain. Allulose finishes clean, and monk fruit sweetens without bitterness.
For coffee, tea or anything you'd spoon sugar into, use what you normally would. Allulose is fermented in the gut rather than absorbed, so very large amounts in one sitting can cause bloating or loose stools — a tolerance trial in healthy adults put that threshold around 0.4 g per kg of body weight, roughly 24 g for a 60 kg adult. A few teaspoons is nowhere near it; a whole tray of brownies to yourself is worth pacing.
Yes, cup-for-cup like sugar. Allulose browns and caramelizes earlier than sugar does, so drop the oven about 25°F and start checking early — if something looks done ahead of schedule, it probably is.
Check the Nutrition Facts panel for the carbohydrate figure per serving and judge it against your own targets. If you're managing a health condition, or you're pregnant or nursing, talk to your healthcare provider before changing what you use. We're a food company, and nothing here is medical advice.
Orders are made in small batches and ship out shortly after you order. You'll get a tracking link by email once it's on its way.
